Every Sunset Brings The Hope of a New Dawn: Objects in mirror are closer than they appear

Finding oneself can be a challenging task particularly for those of us that do or did not have a stable upbringing or environment.

It no secret… seeing the light, amid darkness is a difficult and often unwanted added step in healing. For me, it is and has been a challenge in understanding the difficulties of the past or present can and will be resolved through healing and hard work. Particularly for those of us that come from places of generational unhealed or unresolved trauma. That is, trauma that has been continually passed down from parent to child or from one family member to another. Some refer to these as generational curses. Yes, I believe that gone unhealed or unresolved, these points of trauma can be curses to families and family members for generations.

So, if you’re like me, and you carry trauma that may not directly be your own, the task to stop this from continuing any further can be fearful and overwhelming. If I could have a conversation with my children, I would tell them that sometimes unfortunate things happen for worse things to not continue. I know this might sound foolish but, how many of us have had to end relationships in regret. Only to find ourselves on the path of true personal and professional growth. The truth is, relationships given a consistent positive mental and emotional healthy approach, can be restored.  New relationships can also be formed and cultivated. The same is true for challenges or issues faced in other areas of life, but it starts with us. We were selected to be the catalyst of change …for ourselves, our families, our friends, and sometimes more likely than not someone we may not know.

Keep driving toward the new dawn or new beginning as objects in mirror are closer than they appear.
